12 things you should know about the "Brexit Betrayal" march

On Sunday December 9th 2018 some 3,000 people attended an extreme-right "Brexit Betrayal" protest in London led by the street thug and convicted fraudster Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (Tommy Robinson) and the absolute dregs who haven't yet abandoned UKIP (even former leaders Nigel Farage and Paul Nuttall have recently quit the party in disgust at what it's become).

Here are 12 things you should know about the protest.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon

Most of the other speakers barely managed to hold the attention of the crowd because the majority of them were just waiting for their idol "Tommy Robinson" to stick it to the Muslims and immigrants.

Yaxley-Lennon followers don't give a damn that he's using a fake name, that he's a convicted fraudster, that he's a hate-preacher who has inspired deadly terrorist attacks against innocent people, and they don't care that he's living the high life on the back of all of their donations and hundreds of thousands in payments from shady hard-right propaganda outfits in the US who are seeking to destabilise Britain and other developed nations by funding extreme-right agitators.

Yaxley-Lennon has amassed a fortune in donations and used it to build a significant property portfolio, including a large country house in rural Bedfordshire.

Do the people who throw cash at him realise that he's just siphoning it off to enrich himself? 

They probably do realise it, but just don't care, just like "Tommy" and his extreme-right flock don't care about all the evidence that the EDL street thug organisation that he founded is absolutely riddled with paedophiles and other sex offenders.

The decline of UKIP

The UKIP leader Gerard Batten was at the demo alongside Yaxley-Lennon, and it just goes to show how far the party has collapsed since their heyday just a few years ago when they won 24 seats at the 2014 European elections (all but 7 of them have subsequently quit the party) and bagged almost 4 million votes at the 2015 General Election.

Now they've been reduced to a tiny kernel of ideological extremists pathetically riding on the coat tails of an extreme-right hate preacher and convicted fraudster, and even then only attracting 3,000 people to the event they invested so much time, money, and effort to publicise.

I'm obviously not at all fond of Nigel Farage or his successor Paul Nuttall (to put it mildly), but it's no surprise that even hard-right cranks like them have quit the party in disgust at what UKIP has become.

Huge counter-protest

3,000 people turned up to the extreme-right Brexit Betrayal protest, an estimated 15,000 turned up to the anti-fascist counter-protest.

It's clearly not going at all well for the extreme-right if there are five counter-protesters telling them to piss off for every extreme-right supporter at their event.

A noose for Theresa

One of the Brexit Betrayal protesters brought a noose to the protest. When asked why he was carrying it he explained that it was for Theresa May. "That's for Theresa May, that's what treasonous people get".

It's obviously despicable and barbaric for people to go around calling for their political opponents to be hanged, but then Theresa May and her hack mates in the right-wing propaganda rags bear a lot of responsibility for actively creating this febrile and abusive political environment.

Remember "Crush the Saboteurs"? 

Remember the McCarthyite Tory witch hunt against pro-European academics?

Remember when the Daily Mail printed their "enemies of the people" front page and sparked a wave of abuse and death threats against the three High Court judges who ruled against Theresa May's Brexit power grab because parliament is sovereign?

Well Theresa May actually hired the hack who wrote the "Enemies of the People" article shortly afterwards as her Downing Street press secretary!

Let's be clear that nobody deserves this kind of vile political abuse, but surely Theresa May and her mates must have had an inkling that their strategy of whipping up such torrents of ultranationalist fervour, hatred, and death threats over Brexit would one day rebound back on them if they ever tried to do anything whatever that went against the wishes of the radical extreme-right Brextremist fringe?

High-viz jackets
 

One of the most despicable things about the extreme-right Brexit Betrayal mob is the way they've tried to appropriate the yellow high-viz vest thing from the French gilets jaunes movement.

Like them or loathe them (over 70% of French people support them by the way) it's impossible to deny that the central theme of their movement is anger at economic injustice.

French people are furious that Macron is imposing fuel tax hikes on ordinary people to protect huge corporations (70% of carbon emissions come from 100 of the biggest corporations), and even lavishing a vast tax break on the 1% of wealthiest people in France.

The "no deal" fanatics at the Brexit Betrayal march are protesting in favour of the opposite.

They actually want to trigger an economic meltdown and yet another collapse in British living standards by demanding the most chaotic and economically damaging interpretation possible of the Brexit vote.

Presumably they're doing this because they're fully aware that extreme economic deprivation and the rise of extreme-right ideologues and tyrants go hand-in-hand.

It's an absolute insult to nick the symbolic and effective yellow vests off the French protesters for entirely contradictory purposes.

Extreme-right recruitment
Aside from all the UKIP propaganda at the Brexit Batrayal March, there were several extremist organisations using the demo as a recruitment opportunity. There were loads of banners and literature and placards from the vile white supremacist Generation Identity movement , and the extreme-right EDL successors the "Democratic Football Lad's Alliance" were handing out their propaganda too.

Jo Cox

Nooses, home made banners full of outright political lies, extreme-right and white supremacist literature and banners are appalling enough, but they pale into insignificance in comparison to this absolutely vile conspiracy theory about the murdered MP Jo Cox.

There is no doubt whatever that Cox was brutally murdered in the street by a "Britain First" screaming extreme-right terrorist who later gave his name in court as "death to traitors, freedom for Britain".

Just imagine the mindset and motivation of someone  who would chose to claim that this murder was some kind of false flag operation by the political establishment to murder one of their own. 

The extreme-right inclinations of Jo Cox's killer is obviously so close to the extreme-right views of the person holding this vile placard that they'd rather promote outrageous and sickening conspiracy lies than accept that the murder was committed by one of their own.

Funding

As usual the question needs to be asked, where did this rag-tag band of extreme-right fanatics dig up all the cash to promote and hold this demonstration? Who paid for the publicity? Who paid for the flags and banners? Who paid for the stage and sound equipment?

You'd have to be delusional to think it was Ordinary Joe right-wingers who stumped up the cash given that only 3,000 odd even bothered to turn up. So who was it? Another one of the shady US propaganda outfits who bankroll Yaxley-Lennon, or someone else?

Israel and the British extreme right

On the face of it Zionists and the British extreme-right make extremely odd bedfellows, especially given the history of extreme-right abuse of British Jewish communities (the Battle of Cable Street in 1936, Wood Green in the 1970s) but there were Israeli flags on display amongst the Union flags, pro-Trump propaganda, UKIP banners, and white supremacist placards.

It was always the left (the socialists, the communists, and the anarchists) who stood in solidarity with British Jews against the extreme-right thugs trying to parade through their neighbourhoods, so seeing Israeli flags at extreme-right marches really does induce confusion.

What do Zionists hope to achieve from colluding with the British extreme-right fringe, and what do the extreme-right fringe get out of promoting Zionism?

Jonathan Pie

Everyone with a social media account must have seen at least one Jonathan Pie video. At his peak his brilliant eviscerations of the Tory government were social media gold.

He's disappeared off the radar a little bit recently, but then he's re-emerged at the Brexit Betrayal march, getting welcomed like a hero and doing loads of grinning selfies with the Ukippers and Tommy Robinson fanboys.

Is he working on some kind of undercover exposé of the inner workings of the extreme-right fringe, or was he just basking in the adulation of a bunch of extreme-right fanatics?

The Daily Mail hate chamber absolutely loved it

The comments on the Daily Mail article about the Brexit Betrayal march are exactly what you'd expect from the extreme-right echo chamber of hate that the Daily Mail have cultivated.

The top rated comment of all is a declaration of 100% support for 'Tommy Robinson'. Just imagine offering your uncritical and unyielding 100% support to any political figure, let alone a street thug, wife-beater, and convicted fraudster like Yaxley Lennon!

Most of the other top rated comments praised extreme-right agitators, smeared the left-wing and anti-fascist counter-demonstration, hurled abuse at someone called MacConnell (I think they probably meant the Labour shadow chancellor John McDonnell), and spread the usual extreme-right victimhood narratives.

One of the most down rated comments? A concerned Brexiteer saying that Brexit should be about Brexit and sovereignty, not a platform for providing free publicity to criminal extreme-right thugs like Yaxley Lennon.

Conclusion

This collection of 3,000 bigots, racists, ukippers, EDL street thugs, and outright cranks clearly doesn't represent all of the 17.4 million people who voted for Brexit, but then Brexiteers never were a unified group with unified demands.

Unfortunately for those who held their noses and voted alongside the millions of bigots, xenophobes, Ukippers, extreme-right agitators, Britain First followers, EDL street thugs, and the hard-right fringe of the Tory party in favour of Brexit, they've got virtually no representation in the mainstream media, meaning this grotesque circus of bandwagon-jumping extreme-right cranks is how they're're going to be portrayed unless you start speaking out, condemning this revolting freakshow, and explaining what it is that reasonable Brexiteers like you actually want.

Of course not all Brexiters are racists, but on the evidence of the Brexit Betrayal protest, all the racists are definitely Brexiters.

If you're an non-racist, no-bigoted, non-fascist Brexiter, are you really going to let this utterly vile mob speak for you?

Are you really going to allow extreme-right agitators and hate preachers to usurp Brexit and use it to promote their disgusting ideology?

Well if you do you're either dooming your Brexit ambitions to failure, or worse, dooming Britain to a terrifying future of extreme-right demagoguery, ethnic and religious persecution, and extreme repression of political non-conformity.

Why was this vile extreme-right hatemonger given airtime on the BBC?

When the extreme-right hate-monger Jonathan Jennings was jailed the BBC ran a short piece on their website about his 16 month sentence for multiple offences between March and August 2017, which included extreme anti-Muslim and anti-Semitic abuse and a threat to kill Jeremy Corbyn.

One thing the BBC somehow 'forgot' to mention in their article was that this extreme-right fanatic was selected by BBC Question Time producers as one of the select few to be awarded a question on live TV in November 2017 (after the abusive messages and death threats he was jailed for).

By November 2017 Jennings' online abuse had already been well documented and reported to the police, but the BBC somehow managed to pick him out of an entire crowd as one of the lucky ones to be given a question.

It beggars belief that the BBC somehow managed to pick one of the most vile extreme-right fanatics in the UK to be be given a question. Even the most cursory of background checks would have come across Jennings' White Genocide podcast and articles like this one detailing his extremist views, like "all those who oppose Donald Trump must be killed".

Whichever way you look at it, the BBC's platforming of this vile individual is unforgivable.

Either they knew about the White Genocide podcast and the Twitter abuse and decided to give him a platform because they believed that extreme-right fanatics like him are more deserving of a question than any of the scores of decent ordinary people in the crowd, or they didn't bother to do the slightest check on who they were awarding airtime to.

The vile hatemonger Jonathan Jennings was jailed last week for a mass of extreme-right abuse & death threats (including a threat to kill Jeremy Corbyn).

Anyone who is familiar with the continual stream of Tory party activists who have been handed headline questions on Question Time must surely suspect that Jennings was not given a question on the show despite his vile extreme-right views, but because of them.

Jennings was so delighted at having been awarded the chance to push for a hard-right "no deal" brexit on national television that he uploaded a clip of his Question Time appearance on his extreme-right White Genocide podcast.

It's hardly a surprise that the BBC 'forgot' to mention the fact that they gave this jailed extreme-right fanatic a platform on national television less than a year ago, because had they (or anyone else in the mainstream media) bothered to mention it, surely people would be demanding an investigation into how on earth it happened, and whether the show's producers were aware of his extreme-right activities when they made the decision to put him on air.

Did the Tories continue their Facebook dark ad campaign during the Manchester Arena bombing pause?

After Facebook were pressurised into releasing a trance of highly deceptive dark ads posted by Vote Leave and their affiliates during the EU referendum, it soon became clear that these despicable Brexit campaigners continued flooding Facebook with their pro-Brexit propaganda during the 3 day pause in campaigning after the murder of Jo Cox by a right-wing extremist.

It's absolutely sickening that these Brexiteers colluded to take advantage of Jo Cox's murder by secretively continuing their dark ad campaign during the pause that they publicly agreed to participate in, but this behaviour raises another question that's extremely difficult to answer.

Given that multiple contributors to the Vote Leave campaign are high profile Tories, including several current and past members of Theresa May's cabinet (Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, Liam Fox, Priti Patel, Chris Grayling, Steve Baker), and the fact that the Tories spent £millions on a very similar campaign of targeted social media dark ads during the 2017 General Election, it's definitely worth wondering whether they also took advantage of the pause in campaigning after the Manchester Arena terrorist atrocity to continue pumping out dark ads on the sly.

The problem of course is that it's pretty much impossible to know because of the UK's incredibly lax attitude towards regulating online political campaigning.

This article certainly doesn't constitute an allegation that the Tories did continue their campaign of dark ads during the pause in campaigning after the Manchester Arena bombing, it's simply stating that due to the incredibly lax nature of the current electoral rules, it's impossible to know whether they did or not - which is obviously completely unacceptable.

It is however justifiable to at least wonder whether they did, given the very similar targeted dark ads strategy, and the involvement of at least half a dozen of the same people in both campaigns.

The only reason we've come to learn about the leave campaign's dodgy ads and grotesque scheming to take advantage of the Jo Cox pause is the testimony of whistleblowers from within the Leave camp and because a committee of MPs demanded the evidence from Facebook (who eventually, and reluctantly, coughed up details of the absolute lies they'd helped to spread).

So if we want to know about the content, reach, and timing of all Tory dark ad campaign during the 2017 General Election, we'd need whistleblowers from within the Tory election campaign to step forward, and a Tory-dominated committee of MPs to demand evidence from Facebook about what dark ads the Tories were running, and when!

Essentially the Tory party are the only ones who get to decide how much the public get to know about their own massive targeted dark ad campaign during the 2017 General Election!

In my view the entire system of electoral regulation needs to be updated to take account of targeted social media dark ads as a matter of urgency.

There should be a system put in place where all online political campaign ads must be registered with the Electoral Commission before publication, the registered information should include copies of the campaign advert, details of all hyperlinks within the ad, time of posting, cost of posting, and details of who the ad was targeted at (with geographic targeting of particular regions classified as local campaign spending). All of this information should be uploaded onto a publicly accessible and easily searchable database.

The consequence for non-compliance should be mandatory jail time for rule breakers.

As long as political parties and campaign groups are left free to spend £millions on targeted social media dark ads full of lies and misinformation without any oversight or public scrutiny of what they're doing, then it's beyond obvious that the outcomes of democratic votes cannot be trusted.

Incidentally, this means that if anyone calls for a second Brexit referendum before the electoral rules have been tightened up to clamp down on this kind of online electoral cheating, they're being dangerously naive.

How the Vote Leave campaign cynically used the Jo Cox killing to their advantage

When the Labour MP Jo Cox was brutally murdered in the street by a "Britain First" screaming extreme-right terrorist during the EU referendum campaign, all of the Brexit campaign groups agreed to a three day pause in campaigning as a mark of respect.

On Thursday 26 July 2018 Facebook finally released a massive tranche of Vote Leave dark ads that were run during the EU referendum campaign. The immediate response was shock at the dishonesty of the content, the slick clickbait nature of the adverts, and the complete lack of imprints or information identifying the dark ads as Vote Leave campaign material.

Then people started looking into the time stamps of the dark ads and found that a load of them had been uploaded during the agreed pause in campaigning, meaning Vote Leave were taking advantage of the Jo Cox pause to continue pushing their own Brexit propaganda while the Remain campaigners stopped to pay their respects.

When this information became public the Vote Leave campaign director Dominic Cummings initially denied that the dark ads were run during the pause, and claimed that they were just being uploaded for later.

This excuse crumbled almost immediately with the leak of a conversation between Darren Grimes and the AIQ staffer who was running the dark ad campaign which showed that Grimes' response to the dark ads starting up again at 10pm on the day after the killing was "oh fantastic".

Now it's already been proven that Vote Leave illegally overspent during the EU referendum (for which they've been hit with the maximum possible fine by the Electoral Commission) and that this overspend was due to their campaign of social media dark ads.

Serious questions remain over the legality of the adverts they ran, given the desperately misleading content, and that they contained absolutely no indication that they were EU referendum campaign material at all.

However there's not much prospect of prosecution of their decision to carry on campaigning after agreeing to pause out of respect to Jo Cox, because the agreement between the campaigns didn't take the form of a legally enforceable contract, it was just a matter of integrity and basic human decency.

Vote Leave's decision to carry on secretly campaigning so as to use the Jo Cox pause for their own advantage is particularly cynical given how numerous Brexiteers actually accused Remain campaigners of "politicising the killing" and "using it to their advantage" in the aftermath of the murder.

Now it's absolutely clear that Vote Leave deliberately and cynically used the pause in campaigning to their own advantage, which even a hefty proportion of Leave voters would no doubt find utterly repulsive if they knew about it.

So the big question now is how the mainstream media will cover these revelations. Will they be swept under the carpet so most people don't even know that Vote Leave decided to cynically use the Jo Cox pause to their own advantage, or will this scandal be presented as the outrageously cynical and dishonest behaviour that it was?

My guess is that this decision to take advantage of the Jo Cox murder won't be dominating any headlines, and if it is mentioned at all, buried in the back pages, it will only be down to the sterling work of people like Carole Cadwalladr (one of the few mainstream media journalists worth their salary).

Contact journalists in the mainstream media and ask them to cover the story of how Vote Leave cynically continued campaigning during the Jo Cox pause.

Write to your MP and ask them to take action to prevent the use of social media dark ads in future democratic votes. One way would be to introduce a new law that all campaign adverts (paper or digital) must be registered with the Electoral Commission and clearly marked as campaign literature, with jail time for those who break the rules. 

Take a look at the evidence for yourself. Look at how dishonest and immigration fixated these dark ads were, and try to get your head around the staggering number of people who saw and were influenced by these misleading dark ads in the run up to the EU referendum vote.

Support independent media in their efforts to counter-balance mainstream media bias by setting up small subscriptions to your favourite independent media sites.

The hard-right Daily Express propaganda rag is openly intimidating British MPs

In November 2017 Theresa May's Tories and their bigoted DUP enablers forced a shambolic hard-right anti-democratic power grab called the EU Withdrawal Bill through the House of Commons.

The opposition parties attempted to make several amendments to limit this outrageous Tory power grab, but without the support of the vocal Tory so-called "mutineers" (who all, despite all of their fine words, actually voted in favour of it) they simply didn't have the numbers to constrain Theresa May's dictatorial and anti-democratic ambitions, so the bill scraped through to the next stage.

The House of Lords made 15 amendments to the bill and sent it back to the House of Commons.

Not all of the Lords' amendments are sensible, but most of them are (see image).

Whether we agree with the amendments or not (I disagree with amendment 110A for example, but very strongly support amendment 11) debating proposed amendments to government legislation is clearly a perfectly normal function of our sovereign parliament.

One of the big problems is that Theresa May and the Tories have made an absolute mockery of parliament by allocating just 12 hours to debate and vote on the 15 amendments (a paltry 48 minutes per amendment).

Then there's the fact that the right-wing propaganda barons are absolutely terrified that the opposition parties and some of the so-called "mutineer" Tory MPs will inflict a string of humiliating defeats on Theresa May and the hard-right Brextremist faction who control her every move.

None of the amendments are about stopping Brexit. They're all about constraining the Brextremists' most anti-democratic and dictatorial urges, limiting the social and economic damage the hard-right Tory Brextremists can do through Brexit, and ensuring that the Brexit process in conducted in a democratic manner.

This reality doesn't suit the Brextremist propagandists who work for hard-right propaganda rags like the Daily Express though, so they've simply warped reality to pretend that the parliamentary debate over the 15 House of Lords Amendment is some kind of cynical plot to derail Brexit and undermine "the will of the people".

What's more is the way they're predicting perilous consequences for any MP who dares to support the efforts to constrain Theresa May's dictatorial and anti-democratic EU Withdrawal legislation.

The Express hacks are well aware that the Labour MP Jo Cox was brutally murdered in the street by an extreme-right terrorist just two years ago.

They're also well aware that just a few months ago another jailed extreme-right terrorist admitted that he'd plotted to assassinate Jeremy Corbyn before carrying out a murderous attack against random Muslims at Finsbury Park instead.

They're also well aware of the tidal waves of extreme-right abuse and death threats triggered by previous right-wing headlines attacking judges ("Enemies of the people") and politicians ("Mutineers", "Proud of yourselves").

These vile hard-right hacks know exactly what they're doing when they print massive front page headlines threatening harmful consequences to politicians who refuse to bow down to Theresa May and the hard-right Brextremist faction who control her every move.

They know that what they're doing is nothing short of intimidation.

If opposition MPs and Tory "mutineers" are hit with yet another wave of abuse and death threats after the publication of this intimidatory front page, these irresponsible right-wing hacks should be held accountable.

And if the worst comes to the worst and another MP is physically assaulted or even killed for daring to defy the tyrannical machinations of Theresa May and the Brextremists, the role of the right-wing press in repeatedly whipping up these tides of hard-right hatred must be investigated.

Britain First are mobilising behind Jacob Rees-Mogg

Just days after one of Britain First's vast army of brainwashing victims was convicted for committing an act of vigilante terrorism in London, Britain First are mobilising behind the Brextremist Tory toff Jacob Rees-Mogg, and their extreme-right hate mob are plotting vengeance attacks against one of the protesters who interrupted Jacob Rees-Mogg's speech in Bristol.

Any decent person should be disgusted by Jacob Rees-Mogg, his proven associations with racists and white supremacists, his vehement opposition to women's rights, his unwavering support for ruinous Tory austerity dogma, and his recent hard Brexit conspiracy mongering against the civil service that has been compared to the behaviour of the Nazi party in 1930s Germany.

However Rees-Mogg's hard-right politics, Brextremist conspiracy-mongering, white supremacist credentials, and opposition to women's right have made him the new darling of the Britain First hate mob.

Just as Britain First directed their followers to support UKIP before the party's spectacular implosion, they're now openly propagandising in favour of Jacob Rees-Mogg. 

Presumably they're mobilising behind Rees-Mogg because they see an extreme-right takeover of the (already fanatically right-wing) Tory party as a much easier option than a concerted effort to breathe life back into the corpse of UKIP.

Back in 1930s Germany there was a similar group to Britain First. They were called the Sturmabteilung (brown shirts) and they were the uniformed thugs that the Nazis turned to for violent attacks, intimidation tactics, street battles, and killings.

Whenever the Nazis wanted a lawless mob raising or a violent attack on their political opponents, they could rely on the brown shirt goons to do their dirty work.

Britain in the 1930s was quite different and people stood up in solidarity against the rise of the extreme-right, culminating in the Battle of Cable Street where the establishment toff Oswald Mosley and his black shirt thugs were prevented from marching through the East End of London by a massive crowd of British working class, Jewish, Irish, and left-wingers. This massive public protest against the extreme-right resulted in a defeat that Mosley and the British Union of Fascists never recovered from.

These days the fightback against the extreme right is nowhere near as big as it was in the 1930s, largely thanks to massive social media sites like Facebook and Twitter casually enabling extreme-right hate-mongering and terrorist-sympathising on their platforms, and the deliberate normalisation of extreme-right views by the mainstream media, and increasingly even the BBC.

Whether you think that barging in to noisily interrupt political speeches is an effective form of protest or not, surely nobody with any common decency thinks that political protesters deserve to suffer a barrage of death threats and abuse from Rees-Mogg supporting goons in the Britain First hate mob. 

But that is what is happening now.

Rees-Mogg may try to ignore the fact that the extreme-right are mobilising behind him and his extreme hard-Brexit posturing. 

He'll likely say nothing to condemn the Britain First hate mob for plotting violent vengeance attacks against anyone who dares oppose him, just as he's ignored the terrifying significance of the waves of blue-kipper abuse and death threats any time a Tory MP dares to question Theresa May's hard-right, secretive, and profoundly anti-democratic interpretation of the Brexit vote.

The simple truth is that if Rees-Mogg does not come out and criticise Britain First, condemn their campaign of intimidation against the people who interrupted his speech, and explicitly reject their support, then he'll be illustrating the fact that he sees the support of this violent extreme-right hate mob as crucial in his push for power.

Remember that Britain First fanatics have already resorted to murderous acts of terrorism. 

The extreme-right fanatic who murdered the Labour MP Jo Cox was involved with the group, and the terrorist who plotted to murder Jeremy Corbyn and carried out the Finsbury Park attack was also a Britain First goon.

Then consider the gleeful reaction of the Britain First hate mob after the Finsbury Park terrorist attack, their lionisation of the killer, and their plot to raise a slush fund to incite more people into committing acts of extreme-right terrorism.

Any politician who is willing to align themselves with a disgusting mob like this in their quest for power is clearly and obviously a grave danger to civilised society.

If Rees-Mogg proves his willingness to court this dangerous extreme-right Britain First mob by refusing to condemn them or explicitly reject their support, then he'll be proving that the protesters who interrupted his speech were absolutely right to protest against him.

He'll also be proving that anyone in Britain with any decency left should be protesting against him too.

What you can do

• You can contact Jacob Rees-Mogg by sharing this article with him  and asking him to explicitly condemn Britain First, their glorification of extreme-right terrorism, and the support they're giving him. You can do this by tagging him on Twitter and asking him to comment. Or if you're a constituent of North East Somerset you could email him and ask him for a reply.

• You can contact members of the mainstream media and ask them if they'd be willing to confront Rees-Mogg about Britain First, their support for him, their glorification of terrorism, and their campaign of intimidation against the people who protest against him.

• If Rees-Mogg refuses to distance himself from the Britain First hate mob you should consider protesting against him yourself the next time he appears in public near where you live.

How to check if your friends and family are in danger of being radicalised by Britain First

On June 19th 2017 the extreme-right fanatic Darren Osborne plotted to assassinate Jeremy Corbyn, he is currently on trial for what he is alleged to have done next; deliberately driving a hire van into a crowd of people in Finsbury Park, killing one person and severely injuring several others.

In the days before his trip to London Osborne had been trawling the Internet for content from the extreme-right hate chamber Britain First. He also received personal messages with the Britain First co-leader Jayda Fransen and the extreme-right former EDL leader Tommy Robinson in the days and weeks before the attack.

There's no doubt that he was radicalised into plotting a political assassination by his interactions with the Britain First hate mob and other extreme-right figures like the former-EDL leader Tommy Robinson.

Then there's Thomas Mair who brutally murdered the MP Jo Cox in 2016 whilst screaming "Britain First". 

The extreme-right hate group immediately tried to dismiss their links with him, but he was photographed at a Britain First street protest just months before he carried out his murderous attack.

There's no doubting the fact that the Britain First hate chamber is radicalising people in extreme-right politics, and even into plotting acts of extreme-right terrorism.

The authorities are showing no signs of clamping down on this dangerous hate group, turning a blind eye as Britain First participants praise acts of extreme-right terrorism, laud extreme-right killers as heroes, and even conspire to raise cash as an slush fund to induce other people into committing acts of extreme-right terrorism.

If this online hate group was an Islamist extremist group in which members praised and glorified acts of Islamist terrorism, and even conspired to raise funds to incite others into committing acts of Islamist terrorism, we all know they would have been banned (and rightly so). But because it's extreme-right indoctrination, and the glorification of extreme-right terrorism, the UK authorities continually turn a blind eye.
 Despite continual breeches of their so-called 'community standards' in the Britain First comments Facebook continue to host this disgusting extreme-right hate mob. Presumably because they consider stuff like racism, bigotry, glorification of terrorism, extreme-right indoctrination, and even plots to raise cash for extreme-right terrorists as perfectly fine, as long as Facebook continue making stacks of cash out of hosting the hate mob on their site.

So if the authorities are unwilling to act, and Facebook are unwilling to act, it's up to us as a community to make sure that our friends and family are not being radicalised by this dangerous extreme-right hate mob.

Before I give you the link to check which of your friends and family are at risk of extreme-right radicalisation by the Britain First hate mob, please make sure you use it responsibly.

If you just unfriend these people you're doing nothing to help whatever. 

What you need to do is reach out to them and explain that Britain First is an extreme-right organisation that is led by a bunch of criminals and scam artists, which is hellbent on stirring up such hatred and division that their followers are plotting and committing acts of extreme-right terrorism.

They need to know that Britain First is not only linked with the murder of Jo Cox, but with Darren Osborne's plot to assassinate Jeremy Corbyn too. If you just unfriend them to "purge" your Facebook friends, you're doing nothing to help at all, when these people that you know are in danger of indoctrination and extreme-right radicalisation.

The UK authorities clearly have no interest in protecting people from this vile extreme-right radicalisation outfit, and neither do Facebook, so it's up to us to look out for our friends and family who could be in danger of being radicalised by them, and warn them about what they're dealing with.
